Cambodia and US Discuss Cooperation and Regional Issues

PHNOM PENH, September 05, 2024 — On the afternoon of September 4, 2024, a significant diplomatic meeting was held at the Ministry where HE Kong Phok, Secretary of State and Senior Minister of ASEAN Cambodia, engaged in discussions with Ms. Bridgette L. Walker, Acting Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Cambodia.

The discussions were aimed at enhancing the ASEAN-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on identifying areas of potential cooperation. As Cambodia steers the ASEAN-US Dialogue Partnership from 2024 to 2027, priorities were set to facilitate robust collaboration.

The meeting also served as a platform for both nations to exchange views on various regional and international issues that are of mutual interest and concern, highlighting the ongoing commitment of both Cambodia and the United States to address global challenges collaboratively.
